Dx5 Users can now record a Gain during a Bottling Run, rather than needing to abandon the Run to perform a Recalibration.
Recalibrations may still be needed in any instance where a Batch Volume or Alcohol Content is in need of an edit before Bottling, and can be performed using the instructions in this article: Operations: Recalibrate Batch (Read Time: 2 mins). Users unfamiliar with Dx5's Bottling Process can view a written resource on it here: Bottling: Begin/Complete Bottling Run (Read Time: 6 mins).
To record a Gain during a Bottling Run:
- Start on the Bottling page for the in-progress Run.
- In the Final Results table, enter the exact Total of units. If a Gain should be logged, this Total should exceed the Processing batch's current Batch Volume and display a negative Remainder volume in wine volume with the option to Mark as Gain:
- Check the Mark as Gain box, and observe the system message regarding the Gain:
- Click Confirm, then click Complete Bottling to complete the Run and accept the Gain detailed above.
Note: Gains can be confirmed by users with any level of Dx5 system permissions - this functionality is not limited to Local System Admins only. Make sure all users understand the reporting impacts of accepting Gains, and they verify the Gain amounts which Dx5 will display are accurate before clicking Confirm to accept.
