To receive Finished Products from a Supplier in Dx5:
- Locate the Finished Product Size you're receiving via Inventory > Overview and click the blue arrows to the far right of the Gold Size name to access Quick Actions.
- Select the Adjust Inventory option from the Quick Actions menu:
- On the Adjust Finished Product Quantity form, enter an Adjustment Date/Time for the transaction.
- Select either "Bonded" or "Tax Paid" Tax Status for the Finished Products received.
- Bonded should be selected to receive Bonded Finished Products which should track as a Gain on Dx5 Reporting.
- Tax Paid product should be selected if Taxes have already been paid on Bulk Spirit removed from Bond for packaging, or if the Excise was marked up and paid in a previous filing period.
- If users are missing a Tax Paid variant to receive Inventory into, follow the steps in this article to create one: Inventory: Create Tax Paid Inventory (Read Time: 1 min).
- Choose the "Addition" Adjustment Type:
- Enter a Quantity and a Container type (Units aka Bottles/Cans or Cases):
- If the "Bonded" Tax Status was selected earlier on the form, Users will be required to enter a Reason for the transaction; this is to track the transaction on appropriate Federal Reporting lines. The Reason of Received should be selected:
- Enter a Unit Cost (if Batch Costing is enabled); this should be the actual Unit or Bottle/Can value (example: $3.00/can).
- Select a Supplier for this transaction.
- The partner sending you Finished Product should be in Dx5 Contacts section as a Supplier for them to appear here; if they're not displaying in the drop-down menu, follow these steps to add the Supplier: Contacts: Add New Supplier (Video).

- If you have a PDF file of your RIB/BOL paperwork from your partner and would like to include it with this receipt, use the BOL Document Upload field to attach your PDF documentation.
- Enter an optional Note for the receipt, if desired.
- Click Perform Adjustment when the form is complete.
Note: Users receiving Bonded Finished Product inventory will see their Gain track on Federal Processing Pt II, Line 29. Users receiving Tax Paid Finished Product inventory will notice no impact on their Federal Reports.
