Local System Admins in Dx5 have the ability to perform a variety of crucial operations for their users, including pushing temporary passwords to those in need of a reset. Users will be asked to reset their permanent password upon their first log-in with the temporary password sent to them through this process.
To reset a Dx5 User Password:
- Navigate to Admin > Users & Roles
- Locate the Dx5 User in need of a reset, and click the dual blue arrows to the right of their credentials to expand the Quick Actions menu.
- Click Reset Password from the Quick Actions menu display.
The temporary password generated upon clicking "Reset Password" will be displayed to the Local System Admin on the next page. The Admin can either provide the password to the User directly, or elect to "Send Out An Email Notification" directly to the user if this box is selected on the form.
Note: Users who have attempted to log in to Dx5 with the incorrect password more than 10 times will be considered "locked out". Reach out to Support at email@example.com to have our team unlock the user prior to performing a password reset.
