Operations: Bulk Edit Barrels

In DISTILL x 5, users have the ability to bulk update certain barrel attributes, such as Lot ID, Barrel Profile, Rackhouse, and Barrel Numbers. To bulk edit barrels:

1. Navigate to Operations > Storage
2. Click the Barrels tab
   
   
   
   
3. Click List view
   
   
   
   
4. Using the filters available, find the barrels you wish to edit in bulk. Check the boxes on the left side of each barrel to be included in the Bulk Edit. You must select at least two barrels.
   
   
   
   
5. Once all barrels to be edited have been selected, click Bulk Edit. 
   
   
   
   
6. Edit the attributes you wish to change. If no change is required, leave the field blank or the dropdown unselected.
   1. Lot ID - the CFR indicates that Lot IDs ought to be formatted as YYADDa, where:
      1. YY should be a numerical value representing the year a barrel was filled (e.g. 19 = 2019)
      2. A should be a letter representing the month a barrel was filled (e.g. if May is the 5th month of the year and E is the 5th letter of the alphabet, May = E)
      3. DD should be a numerical value representing the day (e.g. 12 = the 12th day of the month)
      4. If multiple lots are filled on the same day, a letter shall be added to the end (a, b, c, etc.)
      5. Example Lot ID: 20E15a represents the second lot of barrels filled on May 15, 2020.
   2. Choose Barrel Kind - use this to change the barrel profile
   3. Choose Rackhouse - use this to move barrels to a new rackhouse
   4. Barrel Number (Starting)
      1. Use this to modify existing barrel numbers. You can customize a barrel's numbering prefix
      2. Helpful Hint: Entering the "ALEMBIC-1" into the field will number barrels as ALEMBIC-1, ALEMBIC-2, ALEMBIC, 3, and so on.
      3. Helpful Hint: Use leading zeroes to help with numbering. For example, entering "ALEMBIC-0001" into the field will number barrels as ALEMBIC-0001, ALEMBIC-0002, ALEMBIC-0003, and so on.
         
         
         
         
   5. Click Update
