Operations: Case Serial Numbers

According to the TTB, Distilled Spirits Plant proprietors are required to continuously, sequentially number cases to make each case number unique -- independent of the bottling batch, spirit bottled, or any other factor.

This numbering sequence runs from 1 to one million, and then starts over at 1.

DISTILL x 5 automatically assigns Case Serial Numbers when bottling, so long as you have defined a "case size" storage profile. Unless you override the "Next Case Serial" setting, DISTILL x 5 will also prevent you from reusing case numbers for any bottling.
