Operations: Using Simple Syrup/Sugar Syrup (Read Time: 2 mins)

There are two methods to account for simple syrup in DISTILL x 5:

1. Add Simple Syrup as Raw Material:

• Navigate to Inventory / Overview
• Click +Add Item in top-right of screen.
• Enter the following details: 
  
  • Category: Raw Materials
  • Reporting Type: Not Reported
  • Track By: Volume
• Save Item

2. Add Sugar as Raw Material:

• Navigate to Inventory / Overview
• Click +Add Item in top-right of screen.
• Enter the following details:
  • Category: Raw Materials
  • Reporting Type: Not Reported
  • Track By: Weight
• Save Item

In either case, you'll need to account for volume increases and/or proof decreases via Batch Actions > Recalibrate. Be sure to gauge your spirit as the regulations require.

Dx5 will not account for changes in volume or proof when adding recipes/formulas/ingredients to a batch - you must account for these changes using Recalibrate.
